Chai found fame in Taiwan after winning the second season of Taiwanese talent show Super Idol in 2008.

Two months have passed since the death of Taiwan-based Malaysian singer Eison Chai, who fell from the seventh floor of a building. His body was found near an exit of a MRT station in Taiwan.

It's reported that Chai was set to return to Malaysia with wife, Taiwanese actress Hitomi Wang, in September. They got married in 2020, and had wanted to hold a wedding banquet in Malaysia and visit Chai's parents.
The 40-year-old was said to be in a depressed mental state prior to his death, and it was believed he died by suicide although there was no suicide note at the scene.

Now comes a report that contractors are not willing to work on the damage to the building's structure that occurred due to Chai's fall.

The rumour is, contractors have turned down the job although they were offered a much higher pay, according to a Singaporean entertainment portal.
